WASHINGTON, D.C., April 28, 2021 – ABS Capital Partners (“ABS”), a prominent growth equity investment firm, today announced the promotion of Bion Ludwig to General Partner and the addition of Marla Blow as Portfolio Advisor.
Ludwig, who joined ABS in July 2020 as a venture partner, will continue sourcing exciting new investment opportunities and providing strategic support to ABS’s portfolio companies. Blow, who currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Skoll Foundation, is working with ABS to connect the firm with strong growth companies and executives from her extensive network, mentor ABS portfolio company executives, and help assess social impact and diversity initiatives at the firm and across the portfolio.
“With nearly two decades of experience founding, operating, growing, and selling successful technology and tech-enabled services businesses, Bion brings a significant amount of experience to the ABS team,” said Mike Avon, Managing General Partner of ABS. “His contributions to recent investment activity have already proven to be impactful to our strategy and we are excited to have him play an essential role at our firm in the future.”
John Stobo, Managing General Partner of ABS, added, “Marla’s impressive career includes time spent as North America lead at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, as well as serving on the Implementation Team to stand up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). She is a long-time friend of the firm and key member of our network, having served on the board of former ABS portfolio company FactorTrust. We believe both Bion and Marla will be instrumental to the continued success of ABS and our portfolio companies.”
