Growth equity Firm announces new Venture Partner and investment in leading grantmaking platform
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 26, 2021) — ABS Capital Partners, a leading emerging growth company investor, announced that Jennifer Krusius has joined the Firm as a Venture Partner. The Firm also announced the addition of Fluxx to its portfolio, a grantmaking platform for private foundations and other organizations that allows them to improve decisions and maximize impact.
Jennifer was previously a Venture Partner at Columbia Capital. At Columbia Capital, Jennifer led the exploration and build-out of new investment theses, negotiated investments and advised venture and growth stage companies. While there, Jennifer co-founded Vivacity Networks, a connected infrastructure company. Before Columbia, Jennifer was the General Manager of Uber Technologies’ business in Pennsylvania. She led business operations, scaling Uber to 100% of the state, and oversaw product launches, business development, and the passing of statewide legislation.
“I was drawn to ABS Capital by the ability of the team and the reputation the Firm has in helping emerging growth companies reach their full potential,” said Krusius. “I look forward to using my passion for technology and innovation to help current ABS Capital portfolio companies continue their rapid growth, as well as to identify and invest in new opportunities for the Firm.”
Michael Avon, Managing General Partner, shared, “Jennifer has extensive experience operating and growing successful technology and tech-enabled services businesses and will add significant value to our current portfolio.”
Fluxx is the latest addition to the Firm’s current portfolio. Founded in 2010, Fluxx serves 10 of the 20 largest foundations in the U.S. and helps more than 300 foundations and government organizations track and evaluate over $13 billion in grants annually. Fluxx differentiates itself from competitors with its ability to offer a 360-degree view of the larger grantmaking strategy, serving as a one-stop-shop for progress reports, applications, outcomes and budget trackers.
“Fluxx has a compelling value proposition for foundations and other grantmaking institutions, and we are committed to driving growth and innovation under the leadership of CEO Kristy Gannon.”, said Paul Mariani, General Partner at ABS Capital.
ABS joins Metamorph Partners as a co-investor in Fluxx. Paul Mariani will serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. ABS Capital General Partner Bion Ludwig will also join Fluxx’s Board as an observer.
